The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments and hear discussion concerning a plan of financing, within the meaning of Section 147(f)(2)(C) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, involving the issuance by the Authority of its Single Family Mortgage Revenue Bonds and Notes, in one or more series, in an aggregate face amount of not to exceed $200,000,000 (the “Bonds”). Proceeds of the Bonds will be used (i) to purchase qualifying mortgage loans originated by participating lending institutions to finance the purchase or rehabilitation of new or existing owner-occupied single family residences situated in various counties within the State of Florida, including Brevard County, Clay County, Duval County and Hillsborough County, by persons or families of low, moderate or middle income, or to purchase securities from a master servicer evidencing interests in or backed by a pool of such mortgage loans, including, without limitation, securities issued or guaranteed by the Government National Mortgage Association (“GNMA”), Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the “Project”), (ii) to provide short-term, interim financing for the Project in anticipation of the issuance of long-term Bonds that, by refunding such interim financing, will make funds available for the financing of the Project, or (iii) to refund portions of previously issued single family mortgage revenue bonds and notes issued for such purposes to thereby make funds available for the financing of the Project.

At its September 7, 2018 meeting, the HFA of Hillsborough adopted a Continuing Budget Resolution for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. The HFA of Hillsborough County adopted two budget amendments August 1, 2018 meeting:
1. Amendment to line item “Professional Fees—Accounting”—Increasing from $4,200 to $5,100.
This amendment accurately reflects the total funds to be expended for Accounting services during FY 17-18, due to a fee increase effective January 1, 2018.
2. Amendment to line item “Professional Fees—Financial Advisor/Executive Director—Increasing from $140,000 to $142,500.
This amendment accurately reflects the total funds to be expended for Financial Advisor/Executive Director services during FY 17-18, due to a fee increase effective January 1, 2018.

Notice of HFA Meeting
Notice is hereby given that on October 13, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., in the Tax Collector’s Conference room, 601 East Kennedy Boulevard, 14th Floor, the Housing Finance Authority of Hillsborough County will go into closed session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The Authority will discuss settlement negotiations and strategy matters related to litigation expenditures concerning Berkley Regional Insurance Company v. The Tempo at Encore, et al, Case No.: 17-CA-007385. The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes, and will be attended by Debra F. Koehler, Chairman, Mercedes B. DiMaio, Secretary, Frank D. DeBose, Edward A. Busansky, Harry S. Hedges, Michael F. Kelley, Mary Helen Farris, General Counsel, Mark Hendrickson, Executive Director/Financial Advisor and Alan S. Zimmet, Outside Counsel, as well as a representative from Berryhill Court Reporting. At the conclusion of the closed session, the regular Authority meeting shall be reopened, and will resume in the Planning Commission Boardroom, County Center, 18th Floor, and Chairman Debra Koehler will announce the termination of the closed session.

Home Ownership Program
The HFA currently offers three first mortgage options, along with down payment and closing cost assistance. First mortgage rates are as low as 4.00% (actual APR to be disclosed by the lender). Down payment and closing cost assistance is $15,000. You may also be eligible for a Mortgage Credit Certificate.
